Abstract
The church as a religious institution is an agent of socialization responsible for molding social behavior and providing informal control. However, there is an increase in moral decadence, delinquency, and crime in Nigeria, particularly in Kogi West Senatorial District among the Okun-speaking population. Hence the study assessed the socialization roles of the CSMC in curbing social vices in kabba district of Kogi State.
