STRATEGIES FOR REDUCING SKILLED WORKERS SHORTAGE IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES IN FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY, ABUJA.

Abstract

This study examined the strategies for reducing skilled worker’s shortages in the construction industry in FCT Abuja. The research work was guided by five research objectives which includes; to determine the state of art of skilled workers in the construction industries in FCT Abuja., identify causes of shortages of skilled workers in the construction industries, identify carriers of the skilled worker’s shortages in the construction industries, examine the differences in skilled worker’s shortages by trades in the construction industries and identify strategies for reducing skilled worker’s shortages in the construction industries in FCT Abuja. and Five research questions guided the study and five hypotheses were developed to gather information on the objectives of the study. Related literature was reviewed to give an in-depth knowledge on the five objectives of the study.
