Remote Work and Workers Satisfaction of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State

This study inquired into the relationship between remote work and workers satisfaction of deposit money banks in Rivers State. The survey design was used and a population of 187 employees of deposit money banks in Rivers state were covered and a sample of 127 was drawn from the population. The simple random sampling technique was used and data were collected using copies of questionnaire. The data were analysed using the Spearman Rank Order Correlation so as to ascertain the link between the dimensions of remote work (work from home and work flexibility) with the measures of workers satisfaction (affective satisfaction and cognitive satisfaction). The outcome revealed that a significant relationship exists between the dimensions of remote work with the measures of workers satisfaction. It was concluded that remote work in this contemporary time, is a vital tool that can go a long way in enhancing the workers satisfaction and also boost the firms’ fortune. It is recommended that organizations should sometimes allow their employees to work from home as such will give them a sense of autonomy which will thus enhance their satisfaction in the workplace.
