Résumé

The study determined the effect of intellectual capital on the corporate performance of listed information communication technology firms in Nigeria, using capital employed efficiency, structural capital efficiency and human capital efficiency as the independent variables, while return on equity was used for financial performance. The research used an Ex-Post Facto research design. The population of this study consists of the six information communication technology firms on the Nigerian Exchange Group. Data were generated from audited annual reports and accounts of the sampled information communication technology spanning from 2013 to 2024. The hypotheses were subjected to analysis using the pooled Ordinary Least Squares method. The study showed that capital employed efficiency and human capital efficiency have a positive significant effect on the return on equity of listed information communication technology firms in Nigeria. Structural capital efficiency has a negative and significant effect on the return on equity of listed information communication technology firms in Nigeria. It was recommended that the recognition of the positive correlation between capital efficiency and return on equity encourages agricultural enterprises in Nigeria to focus on optimizing asset utilization, prudently managing debt levels, and implementing strategic investment decisions to improve overall financial performance.
