Abstract
The study assesses Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation level in Learning Mathematics using Manipulatives among Early Childhood Care Education Pre-Service Teachers. Based on the objectives, two research questions guided the study. Descriptive research design was adopted. The population comprises all the 603 Early childhood care education pre-service teachers at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education in Owerri Municipal Council of Imo state. A sample of 90 ECCE pre-service teachers participated in the study comprising of 35 male and 56 females using simple random sampling technique in selecting ECCE pre-service teachers. The instrument used for data collection was motivational orientations Questionnaire scale (MOQS).
