Abstract

This study investigates the unveiling of the phobia of mathematics among senior secondary school students in Nigeria. The study is guided by two research questions and two hypotheses. The descriptive research design was used in the study. The population of the study consists of an estimated 100,000 senior secondary school students in Rivers State, Nigeria, aged 15 to 18 years old. This estimate is based on the number of senior secondary schools in the state and the average number of students per school. The sample size is 1,000 senior secondary school students in Rivers State, Nigeria, selected using simple random sampling.
