Efficient Tax Administration as Panacea to Revenue Generation in Delta State

This research paper was done on Efficient Tax Administration as Panacea to Revenue Generation in Delta State. The theoretical framework was the Sacrifice and Governance Theory. The study Population was drawn from Eighty (80) workers in the State Internal Revenue Service. Study sample was Sixty Seven (67) and it was determined by Taro Yamane. Three (3) Questionnaires was derived from the Research Question which was directly administered to the sampled respondents using Telephonic Interviewing, Emailing and on the Spot Administering method. The used Statistical Tool was Mean and Standard Deviation. A major finding was that the three tiers of government now pay close attention to tax proceed so as to finance deficit budget in a bid to steer economic development and growth. It is therefore recommended that probity and transparency in the management of public resources is a motivating key to make the citizen comply with tax remittance.
