RISK MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION EFFICIENCY OF GEOELIS CABLE AND CUTIX CABLE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES, ANAMBRA STATE

Abstract

This research work centered on risk management and employee performance of manufacturing firms using Geoelis cable and Cutix Cable PLC all in Anambra State. The problem was to investigate the effort of these organizations in ensuring workers welfare and safety at workplace and Organization efficiency. The broad objective of this study was to examine risk management and organization efficiency in Geoelis cable and Cutix Cable Manufacturing Industries. Two research questions and hypotheses were formulated in line with the objectives of the study. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The population of the study was 286 employees from the firms under study. Total enumeration method was adopted for the population due to it was manageable. Data was collected using questionnaire and personal interview. The hypotheses were tested using Chi- square (x) statistical tools. Findings from the research showed that safe working conditions positions positively influence efficiency of the organizations under study and finally, recommended that the management should develop a continuous process evaluation of the risk and evaluation efficiency process in the Organization. Proper implementation of the safety instruments must be in place and arrangement of facilities in the Organization will make workers feel secured at the workplace thereby result in increase on efficiency of the organizations under study.
